European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS) department plans for universal remote stopping system and ban on smoking in cars by 2020

• EU considering ban on Smoking while driving with Kids
• A remote kill system on every car also underway
• New system to come in action in 2020

Several documents have been leaked from the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS) department and these documents reveal plans for universal remote stopping system by 2020. These documents further show that; working on the development of a universal remote stopping system is undergoing and will be used to stop road regulation violations.

When this system will start working, police would be able to detect, chase and remotely stop the cars involved in violation of road safety rules such as, speed limits and other illegal offenses. Currently practiced methods like spiking tyres of the vehicle are declared dangerous and will be suspended permanently after initialising the use of new system. Documents further revealed, that the system could be ready as early as 2020 and it would allow the police to stop criminals at the click of a button, by officer controlling the system from central headquarter.

On other hand, banning smoking in cars is also under discussion and smoking while driving with kids could be banned in the future. It is among key priorities to be considered and worked on by the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS). It is a secretive division of European working party which helps the police department in order to enhance police cooperation across the European Union.

Usually criminals escape easily after crime and police are unable to chase them due to the shortage of efficient means. It is a six year programme initiated by ENLETS and it also includes improving automatic vehicle recognition system through number plates and intelligence sharing technology.
