Second Hand Audi Engines

In your search for a replacement Audi engine, you will no doubt have the option of purchasing a used Audi engine or second hand Audi engine, 2nd hand Audi engines are just what they sound like, engines removed from vehicles that have been surrendered for whatever reason to a recycler. The engines get tested and removed for resale to the public providing a more cost effective route sometimes when buying a replacement Audi engine.

When an engine is classified as a “2nd hand” Audi engine, it means the Audi engine was previously installed in a different vehicle which has found its way to the breaker year for whatever reason. Reasons for this can be anything from theft recovery to accident damage elsewhere on the vehicle making the cost of repairing it more than the value of the vehicle, then the insurance company considers it a write off. There is nothing wrong with installing a second hand Audi engine as a replacement engine and there are many times where this will prove to be the most cost effective alternative for Audi engine replacement.
