The number of cylinder heads in an engine is the main task of the engine configuration. Almost all straight (inline) engines these days utilise a single cylinder head that manages all the cylinders of engine. A V-type engine utilise two cylinder heads, one for each cylinder bank of the 'V' block. For a few compact Skoda Felicia engines, the Ideal Engines have state of the art service shop. Most radial engines have one head for each cylinder, although this is usually of the mono-block form where-in the head is made as an integral part of the engine cylinders.
What is a Cylinder Head
The cylinder head in a Skoda Felicia car contains the intake / outlet or Exhaust valves, spark plugs (petrol engines) and diesel injection nozzles (diesel engines)and inlet/exhaust tracts just like the OHV engine, camshaft is also fitted within the cylinder head. The camshaft perhaps settled centrally between each offset row of valves (intake / exhaust), and using rocker arms without any pushrods, or the camshaft may be placed directly on the valves removing the rocker arms and using 'bucket' tappets.
Skoda Felicia Cylinder Head Problems
Skoda Felicia Cylinder head cracking problems can result in terrible dent to the engine and your pocket, that it should be replaced at ideal engines workshop at very low prices. Most drivers try to prevent cylinder head cracking, their effort can prevent an ounce of damage, but it's worth many pounds of cure.
Skoda Felicia Cylinder Head Replacement
All the replacement Skoda Felicia cylinder heads are tested for deformation and thickness and refurbish to their genuine pattern, then inspected for cracks. The valves are tested for damage and replaced as necessary. When each head is machined for Skoda Felicia car, particular attention is rewarded to sustaining the correct surface finish particularly specified for gasket fixing standards.
