1937 : GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo or GMDAT) was first set up as National Motor in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, South Korea.
1962 : After changing its name to Saenara Motor.
1965 : Saenara Motor was bought by Shinjin Industrial, which replace its name to Shinjin Motor after set up relationship with Toyota.
1972 : After Toyota's taking out, Shinjin Motor started a combined business with General Motors under the name General Motors Korea.
1976 : General Motors Korea name changed with Saehan Motor.
1982 : Daewoo Group gets bigger control the name was changed to Daewoo Motor.
1990 : The Company in progress to increased heavily all over the world.
1993 : Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company Limited (VIDAMCO) was authoritatively started as a joint-venture among Daewoo Motor Corporation (Korea) and the 7983 Mechanic Union Enterprise under Ministry of Defense.
1995 : Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company Limited launched the first car name “Cielo”
1996 : With the superior auto developed technology from Korea, Cielo was on manufacturer line in CKDII.
1998 : Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company Limited launched the Leganza 2.0 and Nubira 1.6/ 2.0in June and launched the Matiz – Small in September.
2000 : Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company Limited introduced Nubira Powernomics in February.
2001 : Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company Limited introduced Daewoo Lanos in June.
2002 : VIDAMCO launched the Daewoo Magnus 2.0 in February and launched the New Matiz in Vietnam market in August.
2004 : VIDAMCO produced the GM Daewoo Magnus Eagle and Magnus L6 in January.
2005 : VIDAMCO produced the Magnus L6 Diamond and Color Matiz March 11.
2006 : VIDAMCO introduced the GM Daewoo Gentra in Vietnam market in Jan 20.
